What is the difference between standard observation and Ranger Activities?
A standard tour focuses primarily on the night patrol to watch a mother turtle lay eggs. Ranger Activities adds the active morning fieldwork: reading fresh flipper tracks at dawn, verifying sand incubation temperatures, logging predator disturbances, and examining nursery chambers with national park rangers.
Can children and seniors join the Ranger Activities?
Yes. The terrain is flat coastal sand and packed trail around the station. Walking pace is gentle and guided. Children aged 6+ find the hatchery work especially engaging, provided they wear closed shoes.
What strict wildlife rules must participants follow?
Under National Park decree, white lights and flash cameras are strictly forbidden on the beach. Guests must stay behind the turtle once laying has commenced and never touch a nesting mother. Rangers use dim red lights only.
