1. Booking & Confirmation

By contacting us via WhatsApp, email, or our booking form, you express interest in our travel consultation services. A confirmed booking is established when we have agreed on the itinerary and trip details, and payment terms have been communicated.

2. Deposit & Payment Policy

  • Down Payment (Deposit): A minimum deposit of 30% is required to secure your booking, lock in private 4WD expedition vehicle schedules, and reserve lodging at the Sukamade Ranger Station guesthouse.
  • Balance Payment: The remaining 70% balance is payable upon pickup in Banyuwangi before departure into Meru Betiri National Park (in IDR cash or transfer).
  • Accepted Methods: Official bank transfer to Bank Central Asia (BCA) account under PT SEA TURTLE TOURS (Account: 8980817092).

3. River Flood & Cancellation Policy

  • River Floods & Severe Weather (Force Majeure): The overland route requires fording three natural rivers in Meru Betiri. If national park rangers or our local team in Sarongan declare river crossings unsafe due to flooding or severe storms:
    • 100% Free Rescheduling: Reschedule your trip to any future available date with zero penalties or administrative fees.
    • Full Refund: Receive a 100% refund of your deposit if rescheduling is impossible with your travel itinerary.
  • Guest-Initiated Cancellations:
    • More than 7 days before departure: Full refund of deposit minus bank processing fees (5%).
    • 3 to 7 days before departure: Free rescheduling to a later date, or 50% deposit refund.
    • Less than 72 hours before departure: Deposit is non-refundable as 4WD driver charters and ranger station room holds are committed.
  • No-show: Failure to arrive at the agreed pickup point in Banyuwangi within 2 hours of scheduled departure without prior notice will forfeit the booking.

4. Wildlife Viewing

Turtle sightings depend on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed. During peak season (December-February), the probability of witnessing nesting activity is very high. Even without direct sightings, guests can participate in conservation activities including hatchling releases from the conservation center.

5. Safety & Conduct

  • Follow all instructions from your guide and park rangers at all times.
  • Flash photography is strictly prohibited during turtle observation as it disorients nesting turtles.
  • Do not touch or disturb nesting turtles or hatchlings.
  • The journey involves rugged 4WD roads and walking on sandy beaches. Participants should be in reasonable physical condition.
  • Children aged 5+ are welcome but must be supervised at all times.

6. Liability

Sea Turtle Tours / Sukamade Travel Consultant acts as a travel consultant and local guide. While we take every precaution to ensure your safety, participants join excursions at their own risk. We recommend obtaining comprehensive travel insurance that covers adventure activities.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
